A short 'n sweet entry for what I assumed, given the 1969 date, was a college band. Imagine my surprise when guitarist John Egelhofer turned that idea upside-down:
The Apple Corps were in every respect neighbors; we grew up on the same street, and were playing music at ridiculously young ages. We were playing paying gigs when we were 11, 12, 13. The record was made shortly after my 16th birthday, which means that we ranged from 13 to 16 in age. (My brother Dave, who turned out to be the best musician in the bunch, was the 13 year old.) It was a magical time in the 60's for local bands, and we had a blast.
